In any hospital, Primary Care service is the basis for a good medical attention system. Offering effective access to medical services 24 hours a day every day of the year, requires an integrated and efficient organization, that is also time accessible. At Almater Hospital we have a staff of 12 family practitioners and 12 pediatricians that cover in-house service 24 hours a day so that waiting time is reduced to a minimum.

Our ER service is based on a system of immediate attention and consists of medical and nursing personnel that is properly trained and is backed by equipment of the most advanced technology.

More than 60 specialists are also part of our staff assuring that correct actions are taken in accordance with the most strict medical attention protocols.

Even though Almater Hospital is an open system hospital, every member of our medical staff's credentials are rigorously checked by a Certification Committee, which guarantees that all of our doctors have a complete resume and comply with the requirements of Federal and State laws, as well as a valid certification by the corresponding Board for each Specialty.

Our regulations require that all of our doctors accredit courses and exams such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as well as that they comply with the necessary CME credits that are required to maintain the certification.

The statistics derived from a permanent survey system show a high level of satisfaction from our patients concerning the caring and humane way in which they are treated as well as the prompt and high quality services that we offer.
