ALMATER HOSPITAL
It was 1997, when Almater Hospital began its activities, as a result of an effort aimed at satisfying the unmet medical needs of the region. During these 15 years, the acceptance by of the community, the state of the art technology and the humanitarianism of those who take part in helping patients recover their health have made us the most important private hospital of the region.
We take an active role in the development of the community,
by offering services such as: a Hematology Center, the only Blood Bank operating
in a private hospital in Mexicali; Pathology Medical Laboratories (PML), a Reference
Lab with international quality standards headquartered in San Diego California;
a Cardiac Catheterism Lab operated by Grupo Cardionagiológico de Baja
California the Cardiology Group integrated by clinical cardiologists, interventionists
and surgeons in agreement with the National Institute of Cardiology "Dr.
Ignacio Chávez"; an X Ray department with the most advanced digital
technology equipment; Mexicali Pediatric Group, which allows us to provide specialized
pediatric attention 365 days a year.
These are only a few of the services that we provide.
During its 15 years in operation, ALMATER Hospital has been characterized by constant growth; in 1989 the number of hospital beds grew by 60%; the first seminar specially created to train and educate those who are involved in caring for our patients and attending to many needs of the general public in our facilities, took place in 1990. Currently we are building an area that will allow us to expand our facility by 60% to better satisfy the medical needs of our patients and also make our facilities more comfortable. We have plans to increase the hospitalization area, out-patient service, ER and Gynecology and Obstetrics area, install a new cardiovascular catheterization lab. And open 1,600 sq meter parking area.
The expansion of our facilities is important as is the everyday projection to the community, but our highest pride is having a staff with great professional capabilities and education in moral values and humanitarianism, dedicated to the attention of our patients.
