When hospitalization is required due to the seriousness of the illness or to the medical or surgical treatment that is going to be administered, the quality of the attention depends in great part, apart from the skills and knowledge of the personnel, on the infrastructure of the hospital's facilities.

At ALMATER Hospital we have a hospitalization area that consists of 32 individual rooms that are properly attended to and supervised from one of the 3 nurse stations, perfectly intercommunicated to ensure the proper care of our patients. 28 of these are for adult patients, including 2 for intermediate therapy and 1 for isolated patients and 4 exclusively for pediatric patients.

  • 2 intensive pediatric therapy units
  • Non invasive permanent monitoring
  • Telemetry

A newborn unit with 8 cribs and specially trained nurses.

If an unexpected and sudden change in the patient's condition should occur requiring intensive, strict and specialized management, the hospital offers an ICU or Intensive Therapy Unit

Nurse care for these patients is handled in accordance with international intensive medicine protocols, generally requiring more nurses, in some cases even more than one specialized nurse per patient. Medical attention is coordinated between ICU specialists and other areas of medicine. The technology used is state of the art, our medical personnel is permanently in training for compliance. The telemetry and noninvasive monitoring equipment (for the comfort of our patients) is subject to periodic maintenance programs according to the manufacturers instructions and if the need arises we have a bio engineering staff with up to date training.

The 5 adult patient and 3 pediatric intensive care beds have a complete monitoring system and are constantly verified by a monitoring station.
In this service we have all of the requirements to treat the patient with assisted ventilation (computerized ventilators and respirators) Administer parenteral feeding (IV feeding with perfectly balanced nutritional substances for each patient's special needs) and many other highly specialized services.

The INTERMEDIATE THERAPY AND ISOLATED PATIENT areas are an important addition that allows the patient to return to a familiar atmosphere with the highest safety.
